01

The Rental Period

Equipment is available for collection from 08:00 on the first day of the agreed booking. All items must be returned to Empty Rental no later than 16:00 on the final day of the rental period, unless a different arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

Should equipment be returned late or in a non-functional state, the lessee will be billed at the standard daily rate until the equipment is back in Empty Rental's possession, fully operational, or replaced with equivalent new equipment.

If Empty Rental is required to source alternative equipment as a direct consequence of a late return, all associated costs will be passed on to the lessee.

Bookings of up to 7 days may be cancelled without charge provided notice is given at least 72 hours before the rental start date. Cancellations made between 72 and 12 hours prior to the start date will incur a charge of 50% of the total rental value. For rentals exceeding 7 days, a 50% charge applies to cancellations made within 5 days of the rental period. Where equipment has been specifically sourced or reserved from a third party on behalf of the lessee, the full cost will be invoiced regardless of when the cancellation occurs.

Early return of equipment does not entitle the lessee to a refund or reduction of the agreed rental fee.

02

Responsibility

Upon collection, the lessee is responsible for inspecting and testing all rented items before leaving Empty Rental's location. Any pre-existing faults or damage must be reported at the time of collection. Empty Rental accepts no liability for issues that were not flagged before the equipment left our premises.

From the moment of collection, the lessee assumes full responsibility for the equipment and is expected to return it in the same condition — mechanically, functionally, and in terms of packaging and cleanliness. Equipment returned in an unacceptable state will be cleaned, repackaged, or serviced at the lessee's cost.

The lessee carries the full risk of damage, loss, or theft from the point of collection until the equipment is back with Empty Rental. Any incident must be reported to us immediately. Damaged equipment must be returned so we can assess whether repair or replacement is the appropriate course of action. In the event of theft, a police report must be filed and a copy provided to Empty Rental. We do not accept liability for losses or injuries arising from improper use, incorrect setup, or equipment malfunction.

03

Handling of Damage to the Equipment

In the event of damage or loss during the rental period, Empty Rental reserves the right to determine whether the equipment is repaired or replaced. Where replacement is necessary, the lessee will be charged based on the current purchase price of equivalent new equipment. Any shortfall between that amount and what the lessee's insurer may pay out remains the lessee's responsibility.

For rare or specialised equipment that cannot be repaired due to unavailable parts, the replacement cost will reflect either the price of a comparable alternative or the original acquisition price — whichever is applicable.

04

Usage and Handling

All rented equipment must be operated by individuals with relevant experience and technical competence. Use is permitted within Denmark only, unless a written exception has been agreed with Empty Rental in advance.

The lessee is responsible for ensuring equipment is adequately protected from weather, physical impact, and vibration at all times. During transport, items must be stored in appropriate protective cases.

Equipment should only be used within normal operating parameters. If there is any uncertainty about whether a specific use case is appropriate, the lessee must contact Empty Rental before proceeding.

The lessee must arrange adequate insurance covering the full rental period. This should include — but is not limited to — coverage for theft, accidental damage, loss, and third-party liability.

Equipment must not be left unattended in an unsecured location. If stored in a vehicle, the vehicle must be locked, alarmed, and the equipment stored out of sight in the boot or cargo area.

Use of equipment in aerial, drone, underwater, or stunt contexts is not permitted without prior written consent from Empty Rental.

05

Terms of Payment

Invoices are due for payment within 8 days of issue. For extended rentals exceeding 3 weeks, interim invoicing may be applied.

Empty Rental reserves the right to request a security deposit of up to 50% of the replacement value of the rented equipment prior to the start of the rental period.

All prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate. Any applicable taxes, duties, or levies are the responsibility of the lessee.

06

Governing Law and Venue

These terms and any rental agreement between Empty Rental and the lessee are governed by Danish law. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation, the matter will be referred to Copenhagen City Court for resolution.
